Course Description

The primary goal of this course is to help students deepen their interest in becoming a pharmacist in clinical practice settings. At the end of the course, students should be able to maintain awareness of career opportunities in clinical pharmacy, build a professional clinical network, develop a competitive curriculum vitae, become familiar with effective interview skills, and understand the process of applying to post-doctoral programs (e.g., PhORCAS). Additionally, through in-class assignments and activities, students develop the aptitude for lifelong learning and verbal/non-verbal communication skills. The course will provide an overview of career planning and clinical pharmacy so that students have a general understanding of professional self-development and growth.
