School Closings and Class Cancellations


In the event of an emergency, weather or non-weather-related, Touro has a School Closing Committee comprised of senior staff that is authorized to determine whether Touro buildings will be open or closed.

Once a decision has been made for an unscheduled closing of a Touro NY location, students will be notified via TUAlert, the University's emergency notification system.  Closing information for the New York campuses will also be available on the main Touro website, http://touro.edu.

In certain instances, and where appropriate, remote (Zoom) instruction may be substituted for live classes.  At such times, students should be in touch with their instructor, school, and/or department for information.
