Criminal Background Checks
Accepted candidates must undergo a criminal background check. Candidates will receive an email from Certiphi instructing them on how to initiate a background check. This process must be initiated within 10 days of receiving an offer of admission. The background check must be completed within 30 days.
A check may be done in subsequent years, if requested by the College. In addition, students must disclose any arrests, charges, arraignments, indictments, prosecutions, convictions, pleas of guilty or no lo contendere (no contest), or being the subject of any investigation or court proceeding in relation to any criminal violation (other than a traffic violation for which a fine of $100 or less is imposed) on an ongoing basis to the Office of Practice Experience and Office of Student Affairs during their enrollment. Any violation of the above will result in suspension from all Pharmacy Practice Experiences and classes, and possible expulsion from the Touro College of Pharmacy.
