Course Description

This is the fourth pharmacotherapeutic sequence of coursework which focuses on the application of skills, critical thinking, problem solving, and resources needed to manage patients with neurological and psychiatric disorders, pain management and substance abuse conditions, nutrition, women and men’s health diseases, oncologic illnesses, and solid organ transplantation. The Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process (PPCP) intertwined with the pathophysiologic, pharmacologic, pharmacotherapeutic and pharmacoeconomic principles will be utilized to prepare students to collect, assess, plan, implement, and follow-up with patient-specific pharmacotherapy recommendations for each disease state covered.
